How does it work?

Onabotulinum toxin A (Botox®) is an injectable purified protein known to the medical world for decades. Its use in cosmetic applications has been honed since the 1990s and it continues to be one of the most simple, popular and effective treatments used to help millions of people age gracefully.

Over time, repeated strong contractions of the muscles in our face contribute to many signs of aging that leave us looking tired, worried, grumpy . . .  and often much older than we feel. Botox® is used to relax carefully targeted muscles, helping to reduce or reverse these unwanted effects on our appearance.

What to expect?

Dr. Boudreau always prioritizes the safety and comfort of her patients. Tiny needles are used to inject the Botox® under the skin, a procedure her patients often describe as painless. She takes great care to work individually with each patient’s goals and unique anatomy, leaving you looking REFRESHED BUT NEVER FROZEN so you can still maintain your natural range of expression.

EXPECTED DOWNTIME: 

None. Tiny bumps or pin point bleeding may be present initially, but usually resolve within minutes of the procedure.  Slight bruising can occur but is rare. 

Full effect of a treatment gradually appears by 7 to 14 days, and typically lasts for about 3 to 4 months. Depending on their needs, most patients maintain the benefits of Botox® with regular treatments every 3 to 6 months
